We all know that LIfe is not that simple as it seemed when we were little kids. Life is full of ups and downs, happiness and sorrows, peace and stress. We encounter various challenges on a daily basis, no matter if you’re a corporate officer or a homemaker, a business person or a public servant.
All of these never seemed to happen when we were young. The skills to manage such daily challenges of life and develop in personal and professional life can be referred to as life skills. UNICEF defines life skills as:
“Life skills” are defined as psychosocial abilities for adaptive and positive behaviour that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life.UNICEF Fact Sheet
Life Skills are sometimes referred to as Soft Skills, Human Excellence Skills, Professional Skills etc or rather we can even say that Life Skills are all these skills and much more.
